Great news! You can now deploy a Zero Trust VPN with encrypted access for your IBM Cloud virtual private cloud (VPC) applications and business networks.
One of the core advantages of using Access Server is the ability to deploy on your own terms — whether you prefer a virtual machine or on-premises hardware. However, until now, if you preferred to use IBM Cloud, you faced additional steps in deployment. To address that challenge, OpenVPN is pleased to share that we are now listed in the IBM Cloud Marketplace. Users can easily deploy Access Server in minutes directly through IBM Cloud with a Bring Your Own License (BYOL) model.
Key benefits of Access Server BYOL on IBM Cloud
Access Server on IBM Cloud allows you to interconnect your VPCs, remote sites, and IoT devices — all while minimizing security breaches and protecting sensitive data. With Access Server on IBM Cloud, you can enable granular access controls and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) through least privilege enforcement, device identity verification, and more.
Working with IBM Cloud, you choose from one of their services to run on virtualized hardware. By using the Access Server offering in their marketplace, you can launch a VPN hosted in the cloud with the following benefits:
- Quickly extend your virtual private cloud networking to remote users and other sites.
- Create hub-and-spoke network topology, site-to-site, user-to-cloud, and various other secure VPN connections.
- Provide secure remote access to applications deployed on your cloud platform.
- Choose between a monthly or yearly subscription and your exact number of connections, ensuring you only pay for what you need.
- When you purchase through OpenVPN, you can agree to automatic renewals and modify your renewal settings any time.
- Share one activation key among multiple Access Servers and adjust the number of associated connections at will.
