At OpenVPN, we’re committed to continually improving and enhancing our products, and the rollout of OpenVPN Access Server 2.11 to major cloud service providers reflects that commitment. We’re proud to offer our best-in-class secure networking solutions wherever and however you do business.
What Is It?
Access Server 2.11 is now available with all major cloud service providers, including:
- Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Why Does It Matter?
Keeping up-to-date with the latest cloud images is important for security reasons, but also so you can benefit from the latest features. Particularly for our Amazon AWS customers we refer to our security advisory and migration guide to help you get to the latest version.
This version of Access Server provides users a host of great benefits, including:
- SAML SSO with your preferred Identity Provider (IdP).
- Automatic group assignment for SAML, LDAP, and RADIUS.
- Support for multiple authentication methods on the same server.
- Support for custom authentication methods.
- Cloud images updated to run on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS.
